How to use a neat idea cube as a rabbit cage

You are planning to buy a cage for your rabbit, but do you think the cost of a regular rabbit cage is a bit high? I had a similar problem in the past. When I asked a friend who owns a rabbit for advice, he told me that I should try to make my own rabbit cage using Neat Idea Cubes and NIC.

A NIC is a wired square used to create a cube. The cubes are usually stacked side by side to act as an inexpensive storage space. This idea was intriguing to me because buying these cubes and assembling them into cage shapes is much cheaper than buying a regular cage.

When building a NIC cage, the first thing to do is buy a NIC. These can be found in stores such as Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. You will also need to purchase a roll of electrical tape that will be used to tie the cubes together. The pack comes with connectors, but these do not fit the cubes well.

You should also buy flooring to prevent the rabbit from continuing to step into the holes in the grilled cage. Make sure you buy enough grills to be at least four times the size of your rabbit when all the cages you make grow up. If your rabbit is still small, this may require some guesswork. But the bigger the better.

Please note that you also need to purchase a latch that can be attached to one of the grills. This grill acts as a cage door. When assembling the cage, it is best to have one or two people help. The cage may look unstable at first, but if you tie all the grills together and place the floor firmly, it will be firmly fixed.
