Kung Fu Panda 2-Movie Review:
Movie reviews usually write about the movie’s greatness, the type of movie, and who the actors are. Well, you can read reviews from many sources, one of which is Wikipedia doing a good job. That said, I really wanted to know if Kung Fu Panda really knew martial arts. Are we watching the cartoon movement, or is there really something in Po that Kung Fu Panda knows? Is the movie real for the martial arts community? I decided to take a deeper look at Kung Fu Panda’s martial arts.
understood. The Kung Fu Panda teacher is named Shifu. Sifu is the master’s Chinese, so Po’s teacher Shifu is Sifu’s name play. Po must be doing some form of kung fu. In the form of snakes, tigers, monkeys and other animals, Po has been found to be familiar with the Chinese animal forms of Chinese karate. The legend begins with the turtle’s Grandmaster Woogway and leaves the Galapagos Islands to begin a new tradition of Chinese martial arts. This somewhat reflects the fact that Daruma left India for China in the 6th century. Bodhidhrama is the founder of Shaolin Martial Arts School, Yoga and Zen Buddhism. The film has so much philosophy built into it that it has many similarities to Shaolin Temple and Daruma.
The principle of yin and yang is based on two extreme balances: darkness and light, heat and cold, noise and loneliness. In this story, Woogway teaches his father Hinkan art. This may be the takeoff of Qinggong, which incorporates the teachings of “Qinggong” technology. Through the teachings of Woogway, the priest learned to restore the internal balance that is the basis of health in the Yin-Yang principle.
In the film there is a section showing Oogway meditating next to the pool and reaching focus and harmony by understanding the mysteries of nature. Woogway then developed King Fu, his various animal styles. This is similar to the legend that Daruma was trapped in a cave for 10 years and developed kung fu based on the form of animal fighting.
Oogway preferred techniques that used speed and great strength for basic karate, open-hand, and specific nerve compression points of the opponent. There is a battle scene where Oogway knocks out Tai Lung using a powerful nerve block on the snow leopard’s body.
The kung fu technique of Po and Panda is a little confusing. In addition to the standard punch, kick, reverse kick, and “belly” techniques, there are many hand movements. Hey, you have to use what you have. There is an interesting segment where Po adopts an average facial pose. This is actually taught as a martial arts technique. Po is a cartoon panda doing kung fu, but there are some lessons to learn. Martial arts are as spiritual as physical, and many martial arts claim to be much more spiritual. This spiritual aspect of martial arts is accompanied by a philosophy of how to use it.
Let’s take a look at some of this philosophy from Master Woogway:
“When the path you walk always returns to yourself, you won’t go anywhere.”
“You are too worried about what is what. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
“People often meet his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it.”
“Your heart is like this water. My friend. When it is agitated, it becomes hard to see. But if you calm it down, the answer becomes clear.”
So you can learn something from cartoon characters.
Evaluation:
This reviewer evaluates Kung Fu Panda 24.5 Chili Peppers. Great entertainment, great storylines, likable characters, the depth of the story you want to see, and just fun!
