Let’s get started:
At the beginning of the book, Miescher discusses what the definition of a cat is. She states that the cat is confident, relaxed, sociable and safe. The cat is his / her own existence. They are not as valued as dogs because of misunderstandings about why cats do what they do. This includes cats behaving improperly. The sad truth as a result of this lack of understanding is that cats end up in shelters, are abandoned and euthanized. However, according to Miescher, cats that require little medication have behavioral help (with the exceptions described in later chapters of the book). When the environment changes, the behavior of cats also changes. The point is, “You can’t let a cat do what you want, but you can change your behavior a little and get the result that makes them happy” (p.8).
Through the introduction, Miescher observed wild cats from an early age and discussed how to interact with them. She gained a lot of experience trying to get to know these wild cats. In such an experience, she learned the art and meaning of slow flashing. As a result of his love for cats, Miescher became a veterinarian’s assistant and sat down. While the cat was sitting, she discovered that the cat’s owner needed a solution to the cat’s behavioral problems. This led to her current love of being a cat activist.
The lesson she learned by helping her solve their cat behavior through experience with thousands of cats and clients around the world is that “undesirable behavior was often done or is still being done by the owner. It is the result “(p. 22). The owner must take full responsibility for the cat, environment and behavioral solutions.
When I first read the introductory chapter, it was quite a pill to swallow. I had to reread the p part. 22 For owners, the cat is responsible for acting as it is. I love cats. They were my children and I believed I was doing my best for them. Here’s why I turned to this book: As I mentioned earlier, I have four cats. Zippy is currently using the Future calm color due to grooming issues and anxieties. Wolverine is aggressive and can only be visited by a veterinarian at home. Snoopy also has the problem of her staying in the bedroom. Biskers are cats that enjoy hanging out in a man’s cave (my normal cat). To help solve the behavioral problems presented by Zippy and Wolverine, I decided to delve into this book and set my pride aside to try these solutions.
