Chinese astrology is based on old-fashioned astronomy and calendars. The development of Chinese fortune-telling is linked to the development of astronomy that flourished during the Han dynasty (1406-256 BC). Chinese fortune-telling is one of the oldest forms of astrology. The origin of the naming of animals years later is unknown. The importance of Chinese horoscopes is that it is enough to know the year of birth of an individual, not his age, but his future.
The forefront of the Chinese zodiac was proposed by the Yellow Emperor of China in 2637 BC. A large cycle of 60 years is very important in Chinese astrology methods. Originating back to 2637 BC, China-based astrology can predict amazing information about one’s lifestyle, personality, and emotional composition.
The beginning of the Chinese constellation may be due to the general belief that the Buddha (c563-c. 483BC) once invited all animals and said goodbye to him prior to his departure from Earth. However, only 12 of them appeared at the rally convened by the Buddha.
As a token of gratitude to the people who gathered, he named the animals each year in the order rat, cow, tiger, rabbit, dog, pig, horse, sheep, dragon, snake, and so on. The order determined by the Buddha, the Chinese New Year, occurs on different days from mid-January to mid-February.
Each of these 12 animal signs reflects five elements: wood, fire, metal, water, and the earth. The signature of each animal is repeated once every 12 years, but the exclusive combination of signature and element is done once every 60 years. The signs of these 12 animals are in turn divided into three four groups.
Among these groups, Group 1 consists of rats, monkeys and dragons. The second group contains animals such as Ox, Snake and Rooster, and the third group contains Tiger, Horse and Dog. The last (fourth) group has rabbits, sheep and pigs on board.
During the Han administration, the well-known elements of traditional Chinese culture-the theory of five elements such as heaven, Confucian morals, and the earth, the Yin-Yang philosophy, combined with the philosophy of Chinese medicine, astrology, fortune-telling, and alchemy. Confucian beliefs have been formalized.
The Chinese zodiac allows each of us to understand and acquire the lack of energy we have in our lives. Chinese zodiac markers have long been used as a method of dating age in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese calendar. These constellations are so closely related to Chinese culture that animal constellations have found a way to stories and folklore. These signs produced different personality traits represented by each animal.
