Trois Frere Shaman

The cave of Troyes Flers in France has some fascinating images. This is a brief discussion of those paintings. What was their importance?

Cave paintings have a powerful appeal. They are one of the most direct ways to touch our ancestors. Those men and women who lived by primitive means would have known more about the world around them than we did. The nature of their lives will have made them more exposed to the seasons and patterns of life. Life and death depended on their food supply and knowledge of seasonal changes Was this the reason for the cave paintings?

Deep in the Troyes Frere (Sleeve Brothers) cave in France, visitors can see vague ancient images of people and animals. In particular, one of these numbers has received international attention. Many believe it is one of the first depictions of shamans.

When I first saw images of these caves in France, I was amazed at the nature of their graphics. Pictures of cows and other beasts surrounding the central figure on the high roof of the cave are now vague but skillfully drawn.

The person in the center is about 2.5 feet or 70 cm tall. His appearance is strange, some are animals and some are humans. On his head is a deer horn, probably a reindeer. His mask has owl eyes underneath, and appears to have a long beard. His hands are hidden in the legs of lions and bears. His back is shaped like an animal, is he guilty of an animal? The tail is the tail of a fox that covers an erect penis.

My copy of Animal Master is http://www.mask-and-more-masks.com/The-Shaman-of-Trois-Freres.html

There are many comments and speculations around this figure about its true nature. He is generally accepted as a person in the disguise of a mask and an animal. It makes sense that he has spiritual / magical importance to the animals that surround him. He is also widely considered a shaman.

Under the shaman, many animals are drawn overlapping. It’s like a sketch pad. I know sometimes draw like this. If you try a shape or shape that flows from a pencil, you may not get the desired effect. When you scribble, the pages fill up with overlapping images and you’re too busy to deal with them. Idea and notation. Where to return in the future to rework the captured image.

But it’s me and perhaps many other contemporary artists. What about artists in the darkness of those caves? These images were created, but was it 14,000 years ago or more? Who really knows?

Can you infer that these Paleolithic artists were not the same way of thinking now? Art for us is the process of recording, expression, our inner nature, and sometimes the reflection of God. What did these artists express or convey?

Before I continue this trend, let’s accept one thing. It seems that some natural talents were used by artists in these times, as the quality of painting and the use of lines show us. Often the numbers were accentuated by the color sprayed through the tube, the paint blown from the mouth. Were these artists part of the magical process, or were they paid in some way? Did they come from within the tribe or elsewhere? Was it the shaman who created the art for his own ritual?

Most of these questions are impossible to answer. What is possible is to harness the knowledge we have about tribal people and their traditions.

Shamans or healers or priests / holy men / women are still present in some cultures. In fact, the knowledge of shamanism is passed on to certain members of Western culture. The practice of shamanism has been well documented by anthropologists over the last 150 years.

Shamanistic practices around the world have some common characteristics. Shamans are links to the spiritual world. Upon entering the trance, the shaman enters another world and communicates with animals and the spirits of his ancestors. These spirit guides help shamans solve individual or group-wide problems. The spiritual world is divided into three sections

Middle-earth where we live

Land of the underworld of spirits and the dead

Upper World is a place for gods and guardians

There are several ways for shamans to reach the trance state. Dance, meditation and narcotics are the main methods. As he enters the other world, the shaman seeks his spirit guide to help him solve his quest.

In these early days, like the more recently recorded events, shamans communicated with the spirits of killed, killed, or killed animals. It was necessary to keep a balance with the natural order. When in short supply, he communicated with the spirits to help him bring food to his people. During the drought, he sang because of the rain.

This has not yet answered the question of why these photos are hidden deep in a dark cave away from prying eyes. When the shaman enters the trance, he begins his journey to the underworld. The cave is a good representation of that journey. The picture on the wall is the one I saw during the trip. This may simply be a way to record a spiritual journey. How to keep an image. It can even be used as an educational device for new initiators. Perhaps this is why there are so many overlapping animals.

Can you imagine the impact of such a painting on an inexperienced cave visit? In dim light, the image is clearer and brighter than it is today. The shaman may have been dressed like a picture. The drums will be beating. The incense may be burning. Indeed, it is a wonderful environment that triggers a hallucinatory experience or, if necessary, the beginning of a journey into the spiritual world.

Many other so-called animal masters are drawn in the caves of Europe and Asia. They are linked to the horned horned figures of bread in Norse and Greek mythology. Whatever the real explanation, you can allow your imagination to run beyond the possibilities and can definitely add to my guess.

Marula Fruits-African sake for wildlife, or a complete myth?

Are you familiar with the Marula tree? Otherwise, it’s a beautiful African tree that produces wonderful and delicious fruits! Apparently a delicious fruit that intoxicates elephants …? The story goes on for years … it has even become a liquor called “Amarula” for lovers (by the way, it’s very tasty like Baileys)! origin The story dates back to the 1970s (1974 to be exact). Since then, millions of people are still persuaded that elephants are really intoxicated with such “powerful” fruits! The question is, is that true? Genuine information or complete fallacy? Sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately (unfortunately) (depending on how you see it ...
